What is Vida Health?
Vida Health (Vida) is a virtual health program that offers personalized resources and live, one-on-one support from a health coach or registered dietitian. Vida can support health goals related to blood pressure, cholesterol, prediabetes, diabetes or weight.
With Vida, you’ll have a dedicated health coach, registered dietitian, and/or medical provider to support eating better, moving more and developing habits to help you improve your health. You’ll also have access to helpful resources like videos, tips, recipes and more. For easy progress tracking, you can connect fitness trackers or health devices. How does Vida help?
Vida offers personalized programs to help you achieve your health goals and build lasting habits. Whether you want to manage a health condition, improve your nutrition, boost energy, manage stress, or reach or maintain a healthy weight, Vida provides expert support tailored to you.
Each member is paired with a dedicated health coach or registered dietitian to support goals such as weight management, diabetes prevention, and managing health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Together, you will focus on sustainable habits around eating, movement, stress management, sleep, and tracking key health metrics like weight, blood sugar, or blood pressure. Members can schedule video sessions, message their coach anytime through the app, join coach-moderated peer support groups for motivation and accountability, and connect health devices like fitness trackers and smart scales to easily monitor progress in one place.

Who has access to Vida through Edward Jones?
Preventive Programs Eligibility: All active U.S. associates, regardless of medical enrollment, as well as U.S. spouses, domestic partners and dependents age 18 or older who are medically enrolled (defined as enrollment in the Anthem Gold or Silver medical plan or the HMSA medical plan) are eligible to participate in Vida Health’s Preventive Program at no cost.
Chronic Conditions Programs Eligibility: All medically enrolled U.S. associates, spouses, domestic partners and dependents age 18 or older are eligible to participate in Vida Health’s Chronic Conditions Program at no cost. For purposes of eligibility, “medically enrolled” refers to enrollment in the Anthem Gold or Silver medical plan or the HMSA medical plan, whether through active coverage or COBRA continuation.
How do I sign up for Vida?
- Visit vida.com/EdwardJones or download the Vida app to sign up, create an account and complete your onboarding by answering some questions about yourself* and your health.
- We recommend utilizing your Edward Jones email address to establish your Vida account. Using your Edward Jones email address ensures your ability to utilize Single Sign On (SSO), when accessing your account while on the Edward Jones network.

How does my spouse, domestic partner or dependent sign up for Vida Health?
Your family members (including spouses, domestic partners and dependents ages 18+) are eligible to use Vida’s services at no charge, if they are enrolled in a medical plan through Edward Jones.
- To enroll, spouses, domestic partners and dependents should use their name, email and date of birth.
- If asked for Employee ID, your spouse, domestic partner and dependents should utilize your Edward Jones Employee ID.
- If they need additional help, they can contact Vida directly at support@vida.com or call 833-732-2242, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET.

If I have access to a well-being program through my spouse or domestic partner’s benefits, can I still participate with Vida?
Yes. All active full-time and part-time U.S. associates, regardless of medical election and access to other programs, are eligible to participate in Vida’s Preventive Program. All medically enrolled associates (including those enrolled via COBRA) are eligible to participate in Vida’s Preventive or Chronic Conditions Programs. What kind of health coaching can I receive through Vida?
Vida’s coaches can help you reach your health goals. Here are a few examples of things they can help with:
- Reaching or maintaining a healthy weight
- Improving nutrition, including support for special diets (i.e. gluten-free, paleo, vegan)
- Exercising more and getting stronger
- Lowering stress
- Improving sleep
- Lowering blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol
- Preventing and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia
How do I choose my coach?
After you’ve signed up for Vida and logged into the Vida Health app (or called by phone), we’ll recommend some coaches that could be a good fit for you – then the choice is up to you. Each coach has a photo, a brief bio and their appointment availability to help guide your choice.
Can I change coaches if it doesn’t work out with my first coach?
Yes. To request a change:
- Go to the Home screen in your Vida Health app, tap the gear icon in the upper right, then tap Switch Coach.
- You’ll answer a few questions so we can match you with a new coach that’s the best fit for your style and goals.
What should I consider as I prepare for my first coaching session?
Your first video call will take about 30 minutes. Your coach will get to know your history, what you’ve tried, and what you want to achieve.
There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. Your coach is here to listen, ask questions and help you start with a plan that fits your life.
Have questions before your call? You can message your coach between sessions in the Vida app.
The telemedicine services made available through Vida Health are provided by licensed healthcare providers practicing within a group of independently owned professional practices collectively known as “Vida Medical”. These professional practices provide services via the Vida Health telehealth platform.
