Keeping a Mindful Eating Awareness Journal


For the next week, keep an awareness journal around your daily food habits. Begin tracking the following using a notebook or making notes on your phone or computer:

  • Each time you eat, record the time of day
  • On a scale of 1-10, rate how hungry you are before you eat (1-painfully full, 10- ravenous)
  • A brief summary of what you eat and/or drink (don’t worry about calories)
  • What thoughts, feelings and emotions you are experiencing while eating
  • How you feel when you are done eating

What did you notice throughout the week? Any patterns to your eating habits? Write these down and discuss your findings with your Vida Coach, it’s sure to be insightful!
