What types of mental health programs does Vida Offer?
Mental Health Coaching Program-
Vida’s Mental Health Coaching program treats mild to moderate mental health issues. Health Coaches (trained in Motivational Interviewing) support members with evidence-based content that helps members cope with the struggles of everyday life and reach goals to promote holistic health and wellness. Coaches will draw on evidence-based strategies, activities, and exercises to help members explore ways to calm their minds and learn practical, real-life techniques to help shift and manage unpleasant and stressful feelings.
The Mental Health Coaching program is a 9-month program that includes 12-week intensive one-on-one sessions and then a 6-month maintenance phase of monthly one-on-one sessions with a health coach. The goal is to graduate by decreasing the severity of mental health issues. In addition, Vida will assess the clinical appropriateness of continued care if necessary.
Vida’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program treats moderate to moderately severe mental health issues. Licensed therapists deliver structured CBT-based counseling for depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress, adjustment disorder (e.g., difficulties adjusting to a medical diagnosis like diabetes), social anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, divorce, parenting challenges, and more.
The Therapy program is a 9-month program that includes a 12-week intensive phase of weekly one-on-one sessions and then a 6-month maintenance phase of monthly one-on-one sessions with a health coach. The goal is to graduate by decreasing the severity of mental health issues. Vida will assess the clinical appropriateness of continued care if necessary. We offer inpatient or in-person care referrals for high severity members; if a clinician feels another treatment modality is best due to the assessment.
Our stress resilience and stress management programs equip you with tools and practices to meet and embrace the ups and downs that come your way. And our licensed therapists use proven cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help you deal with life’s challenges.
Can I choose my coach or therapist?
Absolutely. After you download the Vida Health app, you’ll be prompted to create an account and select your preferred program. Then we’ll ask you a few questions, including what kind of coaching style you’d like — for example a cheerleader type, drill sergeant, listener, or something else.
We’ll recommend some coaches/therapists that could be a good fit and then the choice is up to you.
Can I change coaches/therapists if it doesn’t work out with my first coach/therapist?
Absolutely. To request a change, go to the Home screen in your Vida app, tap the gear icon in the upper right, then tap Request New Coach. You’ll complete a brief survey so we can match you with a new coach that’s the best fit for your style and goals.
