What is Vida Health?

Vida is committed to serving Taylor employees who may have one or more chronic physical and mental health conditions such as asthma, congestive heart failure, depression, diabetes, hypertension and many similar conditions.

Vida provides support for members challenged by these conditions through personalized health programs and one-on-one support from an expert coach or therapist.

After Vida approves your program participation, you’ll share your health goals and preferences. Vida will use that information to tailor a program to your needs, and you’ll pick a coach or therapist to support you along the way. Your program will include helpful resources like videos, lessons, recipes, and more, plus easy progress-tracking. You’ll also be able to connect any fitness trackers or health devices you use.

Who is eligible for Vida health coaching through Taylor?

To be eligible for this program, you need to be enrolled in one of Taylor’s health plans and you need to have a chronic condition that is supported by this program. Your spouse and any dependents covered on your health plan who are 18 years or older and who have a chronic condition, are also eligible. This program is not available to those under age 18.

Who can join Vida’s mental health programs?

Chronic mental health conditions are often coupled with other chronic conditions and Vida has expert health coaches and licensed therapists available to help.

Our resilience and stress management programs equip you with tools and practices to meet and embrace the ups and downs that come your way. Our licensed therapists use proven cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to help you deal with life’s challenges.

Can I choose my coach or therapist?

Absolutely. After downloading the Vida Health app, you’ll be prompted to create an account and select your preferred program. Then, we’ll get you matched to a coach by collecting your input, including the coaching style you’d like, whether a cheerleader, drill sergeant, listener, or something else.

We’ll recommend some coaches/therapists that could be a good fit, and then the choice is up to you.

Can I change coaches/therapists if it doesn’t work out with my first coach/therapist?

Absolutely. To request a change, go to the Home screen in your Vida app, tap the gear icon in the upper right, then tap Request New Coach. You’ll complete a brief survey so we can match you with a new coach that’s the best fit for your style and goals.
