The Power of 10 Minutes
One of the biggest barriers to exercise is time. Breaking down exercise in to 10 minute blocks is a great way to get moving when time is not on your side.
Here are some strategies to for success:
- Set a reminder on your phone to take a 10 minute movement break.
- Take 10 minutes out of your lunch time to fit in a power walk. You still have 20 minutes to enjoy lunch!
- Instead of a cup of coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up try doing 10 minutes of physical activity. It is doesn’t cost a dime and you will burn some calories in the process!
- Create a 10 minute playlist of your favorite songs that will pump you up!
- Keep track of your success! If you added 2 ten minute movement breaks each day that is 140 minutes of activity by the end of the week!
