What is this study? Vida is partnering with Oura to study how continuous health tracking—like sleep, activity, and recovery data—can support your Vida care plan and health goals.

What do I get if I participate? An Oura Ring 4, yours to keep, and one 12-month prepaid Oura membership paid for by Vida.

Do I have to pay for anything? No. Vida is providing you with an Oura Ring 4 (yours to keep) and one 12-month prepaid Oura Ring membership at no cost to you. 

Who can participate?
This study is invitation-only for eligible Vida members. If you’ve received an invitation, you’re eligible to opt in. Space is limited to the first 1,000 members who enroll. Full eligibility criteria.

This study is invitation-only for eligible Vida members. To participate, you must:

• Be a current Vida member whose employer or health plan has a partnership with Vida
• Be enrolled in the Medical Weight Loss program and have completed at least 1 consult with a Vida Medical Provider
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Not have a Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes diagnosis
• Not have an active eating disorder or psychiatric comorbidity
• Not be pregnant or planning a pregnancy
• Not already be using an Oura ring or similar wearable device

If you’ve received an invitation, you’re eligible to opt in. Space is limited to the first 1,000 members who enroll.

Getting started with Oura

Activating your Oura Ring 4
Log in to or create an Oura account with an email address (this can be different from any email tied to your Vida account), then follow the in-app setup to pair your ring. You’ll get a complimentary first month of Oura membership, followed by your 12-month prepaid Oura membership, paid for by Vida. Syncing the Oura Ring with Vida
From Home or your Journey tab, open Connect Devices & Apps, then tap Connect under “Connect with Oura, Garmin, Withings, or others.” Select Oura, sign in, and review and submit consent for the data you’d like to share. Need help? See Connecting Your Oura Ring to Vida. 

Once you’ve connected your Oura Ring 4 to the Vida app

• Wear your Oura Ring regularly and keep it synced with Oura and Vida  
• Continue your normal Vida program and check-ins for the 12-month study period

What data will Vida see from my Oura Ring? 

Your steps, sleep, calories burned, exercise duration, and type will sync automatically to Vida.

Why does the Oura consent screen mention more than what shows up in Vida? 

Oura’s consent screen lists everything it can share with connected apps. Not all categories currently sync to Vida. Heart rate and SpO2, for example, aren’t shown in Vida today, even if you consent to share them with Oura. Any data Oura collects is governed by Oura’s own terms and conditions, separate from what’s shared with Vida.

Will my past Oura data show up, or just data going forward? When you connect, the Vida app will sync the last 30 days of your Oura data so your charts populate right away.
